{"id":9008,"date":"2019-09-02T15:00:53","date_gmt":"2019-09-02T06:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aplpubweb.jamstec.go.jp\/kowatch\/?p=9008"},"modified":"2019-09-02T10:52:43","modified_gmt":"2019-09-02T01:52:43","slug":"effect-of-larval-swimming-in-the-western-north-pacific-subtropical-gyre-on-the-recruitment-success-of-the-japanese-eel-2-2-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aplpubweb.jamstec.go.jp\/kowatch\/?p=9008","title":{"rendered":"New ocean reanalysis around Japan: JCOPE2M reanalysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\">By assimilating available observation data into the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamstec.go.jp\/aplinfo\/kowatch\/?p=5484\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JCOPE2M ocean nowcast\/forecast system<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamstec.go.jp\/apl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Application Laboratory<\/a> has created the reanalysis data (JCOPE2M) with horizontal high resolution of 1\/12 deg. to describe the oceanic variability associated with the Kuroshio-Kuroshio Extension, the Oyashio, and the mesoscale eddies from January 1993 to present time (Miyazawa et al., 2017; 2019). JCOPE2M reanalysis data are available from the authors by request.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">JCOPE2M is an updated version of the FRA-JCOPE2 reanalysis. The high-resolution sea surface temperature data were assimilated into the model by using the multi-scale three dimensional variational method.
