Now it is pleasant to announce that JAMSTEC, Ministry of Research and Technology (RISTEK), and the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT) welcome Minister of Research and Technology and host Indonesia-Japan Workshop on gIndonesian Earthquake and Indian Tsunami, 26th December 2004h in collaboration with the related organizations, which participated in this research.@It is the first time to report the results of this project in Indonesia.

@@Workshop will be held to report the results and analyses of the research to Indonesian with the following purpose. |
(1)
To inform the results of the research conducted by Japan and Indonesia to Indonesian who are actually suffering serious damages from the disaster and make use of the experience for the future disaster prevention. |
(2) To strengthen the cooperative relationship for the long-term research along with enhancement of the better network between Japanese and Indonesian researchers. |
(3)To improve Japanese position in Asia for international contributions.
