Research on Collision between MSDF DDG ATAGO and a fish boat SEITOKU MARU
-Rough state of sea halts the Research Vessel KAIYO’s search operation-
The Research Vessel KAIYO, operated by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC; Mr. Yasuhiro Kato, President), halted the search operation at 10:10 on February 23, 2008 because of the rough state of sea and the KAIYO had to move away from the bad weather. Research will be resumed once the weather serves.
