JAMSTEC Holds an Event to Mark 10th Anniversary of the Oceanographic Vessel MIRAI and the Deep Sea Research Vessel KAIREI

The Oceanographic Research Vessel MIRAI and the Deep Sea Research Vessel KAIREI have been in service for 10 years. To appreciate these vessels' 10 years of works, the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC; Yasuhiro Kato, President) will hold an anniversary symposium and an open house, in which our research results will be introduced widely to public people.

The event may be cancelled due to the bad weather or other factors. People who wear high-heel shoes or sandals, under the influence of alcohol are not allowed since some parts of the floor are not even and dangerous on the ship.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
