Accident occurred on the Research Vessel HAKUHO MARU (1st report)

An observation technician (male, in his 50s) aboard the research vessel HAKUHO MARU fell down the stairs late last night, July 24.

In response to the accident, HAKUHO MARU berthed at Yokosuka Headquarters shortly after 11:00 today after changing its schedule to return to Tokyo on July 26. The injured person is currently in cardiopulmonary arrest.
