Advisor Mr. Shizuo Hoshiba received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon.

Mr. Shizuo Hoshiba (JAMSTEC Adviser) received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon in the Spring of 2021.
The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon is awarded to those who have made meritorious contributions to the nation or the public and who have been engaged in public service for many years.
Advisor Mr. Shizuo Hoshiba has been engaged in the administration of education, culture, sports, science and technology over the years, serving as Assistant Minister for policy coordination of MEXT, and the Executive Research Fellow of the Economic and Social Research Institute, Cabinet Office. In JAMSTEC, he assumed positions of Planning Department Director, Deputy Director of Application Laboratory and Deputy Director of Center for Earth Information Science and Technology.
