Observational innovation using hyperspectra, drones and high-resolution satellites

Overview

To solve problems such as global warming and environmental changes, a large suite of key substances or parameters of the Earth Surface System need to become descriptive. However, still many are not, often limited by the observational capability. Therefore, we are focusing on "hyperspectral measurement" that improves the measurement performance of all oceans, atmosphere, and land areas, and the utilization of new information obtained from it. Targets will include marine plastics, sea colors, air pollution / greenhouse gases, aerosols, terrestrial vegetation, etc., from ultraviolet/visible to infrared spectroscopy with high wavelength resolution. We will consistently promote observation, satellite observation, data utilization (i.e., modeling), and information dissemination.
