OverviewIn order to reveal mixing processes in river plumes in Otsuchi Bay, we will observe river flows, tidal flows, temperature and salinity in the Unosumai River. We will deploy mooring systems and carry out a tow-yo CTD survey in the river to observe temperature, salinity, flows. In addition to the morring surveys, we will use a towing ADCP for estimating the river flow in the rivers.

Results and Future PlanMooring systems, YODA Prfoielr and towed ADCP were deployed near the Unosumai River mouth in Otsuchi Bay. We observed current and salinity fields near the river mouth area. In addition to these surveys, we obtained bottom sediment samples near the river mouth using a bottom sampler.
