3.Qualifications :
(A) Domestic ; Researchers in Japan or equivalent.
(B) Overseas ; Researchers who can apply through their joint researchers qualified as (A)

4.Application:
It may be possible to form a collaboration with another Japanese scientist, and apply joint for participation in R/V MIRAI cruise.

5.Application deadline: Postmarked by 15 Aug. 1998.

6.Selection procedure:
Screening and selection process will be performed by the R/V MIRAI Operation Planning Committee in the JAMSTC and the Board of Directors will make a final decision.

7.Date of notification: End Sept. of 1998
