- README for CTDO data -


Vertical profiles of temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen (DO) were measured by 
the CTD (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) system and DO sensor during the MISMO campaign. 
Details of the sensors used are listed at the end of this file. In addition, information
on each sensor calibration as well as quality check can be found at 
http://www.jamstec.go.jp/mirai/MR06-05_leg1/CTD/.


CTDO data are stored in "cr######.dat" files.
First line indicates the following information.
  Filename (ex. cr05S001)
  Start time of CTD casting expressed in UTC (YYYYMMDD HH:MM)
  Start position of CTD casting ;  latitude   DD-MM.MML (L=degN or degS)
                                   longitude DDD-MM.MML (L=degE)
These information for all castings are gathered together into "ctdfile.log".
From the second line, the following parameters are stored from the near surface to
200 or 500 dbar depth every 1 dbar. Note that data taken by the primary sensors were 
used to produce these files.
