Overview
1. Demersal fishes such as flatfishes and conger eel are caught by gill net, pod net, and cage in the Onagawa Bay. Age determination is conducted for the main fisheries resources, for Age-length key.2. Landings at Onagawa fisheries market are investigated. Body length and numbers of landings are measured and counted to estimate the number of fish caught in the year by year class.3. Fish compositions are analyzed to evaluate the effect of the Great East Japan Earthquake on fish fauna, and long-term fluctuation in the composition, through investigation on the logbook of set net fisheries around Kinkazan Is.
