Research Information

Period and Interval
2013/04/01 - 2014/03/31
Once every two months or one month
Research Area
Onagawa Bay (including sea area around Kinkazan Is.)
Category
Field survey
Overview
1. Demersal fishes and benthic animals were caught by gill net, pod net, and cage in the Onagawa Bay. Age determination was conducted for the main fisheries resources, for Age-length key.2. Landings at Onagawa fisheries market were investigated. Age and year class compositions of greenling were estimated by the age-length key.3. Fish compositions were analyzed to evaluate the effect of the Great East Japan Earthquake on fish fauna, and long-term fluctuation in the composition, through investigation on the logbook of set net fisheries around Kinkazan Is.
