Overview
Our survey purpose is Tsunami marine debris mapping and geo-environmental mapping (with bottomsampling, benthos sampling and subbottom video sampling). We use 1) Side scan sonar, 2) Multi beam echo sounder, 3) Sub bottom profiler, 4) ROV and 5) Bottom sampler (Columnar and Grab) for this investigation.

Otsuchi bay: submarine topography, sub bottom data sampling, bottom sampling using Multi beam echo sounder, Subbottom profiler and Bottom sampler. Ofunato bay: sediment sampling for environment and distribution of benthos. Hirota bay: submarine topography, marine debris and seabed environment mapping, subbottom data sampling, sediment sampling for environment and distribution of benthos using Multi beam echo sounder, Side scan sonar, Subbottom profiler and Bottom sampler. Onagawa bay:subbottom data sampling using Sub bottom profiler.
