Identification of neuropeptides controling bivalve gametogenesis from several bivalve species and reproduction-related genes induced by neuropeptide, functionional relationship among them, and the in vivo and in vitro effect of the peptide on gamete formation is ongoingly demonstrated for artificial induction of gonad development by the neuropeptide.
