Quality Control

Quality controls of CRMs at KANSO, the producer of CRMs, are shown below;

  • Homogeneity measurement conducted within a week of production.
  • Nutrients are monitored 1, 2, 3 months after production (n = 30 x 2). Then after 6 and 12 months, 10 bottles in duplicates are measured.
  • After 1 year from production, nutrients are monitored once a year (n = 10 x 2).
  • A culture bottle to check for microbial contamination is produced for every 50 bottles throughout the production.
  • A visual check of the culture bottles are conducted 1, 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks after production.
  • After 12 weeks, an aliquot (1mL) from each culture bottle is transferred to a solid culture media to test for microbial activities.
  • This solid culture plates are monitored for growth/no growth for 1 month.
