Dr. Daisuke Matsuoka and Dr. Kazuyoshi Oouchi received the Outstanding Presentation Award at the JSST2015 International Conference on Simulation Technology. Dr. Matsuoka and Dr. Oouchi are scientists at JAMSTEC’s Center for Earth Information Science and Technology (CEIST) and Department of Seamless Environmental Prediction Research (DSEP), respectively. They were recognized for their presentation “Extraction, Classification and Visualization of Cloud simulated by Atmospheric General Circulation Model.”
The international conference was held at the Toyama International Conference Center in Toyama Prefecture, Japan on October 12–14, 2015 under the auspices of the Japan Society for Simulation Technology.
A part of this research has been funded by MEXT Strategic Programs for Innovative Research (SPIRE). Part of the results was obtained by the K computer at the RIKEN Advanced Institute for Computational Science.
