The DITTO Summit 2026 is the flagship international summit of the Digital Twins of the Ocean (DITTO) programme under the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. The 2026 Summit focuses on operational, interoperable, and user-driven digital twins that combine observations, models, AI, and advanced digital technologies to support ocean protection, climate resilience, sustainable governance, and the blue economy.
Moving from Concept to Capability
The journey from fragmented data to integrated, interoperable Earth system digital twins for functional operations:
Fragmented data → Standalone models → Integrated observation systems → Interoperable Earth-system twins → Prototypes
→ Functional digital twins systems
The DITTO Summit focuses on operational, interoperable, and user-driven digital twins that combine:
DITTO Summit 2026 explores the foundational pillars of next-generation digital twin systems across ocean, Earth, infrastructure, mobility, industry, space, and society—expanding from Digital Twins of the Ocean to a broader ecosystem of interoperable digital transformation.
Reliable inputs for smarter decisions through the integration of real-time observations, satellite systems, IoT sensors, autonomous platforms, advanced predictive models, and AI-driven analytics to support operational planning, forecasting, and adaptive management across sectors.
Open architectures, cloud and edge ecosystems, high-performance computing, digital platforms, and interoperability standards that enable seamless integration of data, models, and workflows across institutions, industries, and diverse digital twin domains.
Advanced artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and optimization technologies for scenario simulation, predictive intelligence, operational efficiency, and decision-support systems spanning ocean, climate, transportation, manufacturing, health, and smart systems.
Real-world digital twin deployment across shipping, maritime logistics, satellite systems, smart mobility, automotive systems, offshore energy, fisheries, infrastructure, urban systems, climate services, disaster resilience, and sustainable governance.
Validated, scalable, and production-ready digital twin systems designed for deployment across public, private, and research sectors, enabling actionable intelligence for environmental, industrial, and societal challenges.
Connected ocean–atmosphere–land–space–infrastructure intelligence frameworks that support comprehensive risk management, sustainability, resilience, and innovation through holistic digital ecosystems.
