The logo mark

The Program for Risk Information on Climate Change, known as SOUSEI, is in the process of compiling necessary basic information, in tandem with remarkable improvement of climate change prediction, to control a variety of risks that could result from climate change. Program participants created a logo mark as a symbol of their integrated efforts to achieve the goal of the program.

The logo mark represents the blue earth as a whole, while the white flow line along the circle signifies ice melting as an effect of global warming. The green and dark blue parts in the center indicate the terrestrial ecosystem including plants and the fluctuation of marine life, respectively.

The logo mark reflects the hope of program participants that they will contribute to society with their discoveries about possible significant effects on water resources and the ecosystem of our precious earth. Specifically, they will conduct studies on climate change prediction designed to measure and collect risk information on climate change.
