Four-dimensional variational ocean reanalysis for the seas around Japan over 60 years (FORA-JPN60) is unprecedented reanalysis data for the seas around Japan, featuring high-resolution (2 km) and long-term (1960-2020).

FORA-JPN60 was jointly developed by the Meteorological Research Institute of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA/MRI) and the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) under MEXT-Program for the advanced studies of climate change projection (SENTAN).
