MIRAI Doppler radar system
A Doppler radar system measures the speed and volume of wind, raindrops and snowflakes in clouds by emitting microwave beam (C band). The measured data is used to study the precipitation structure of clouds growing over the ocean, and to estimate the influence of rain on the ocean.
