Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology
The Headquarters of the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC: Mr. Yasuhiro Kato, President) will be open to the public as one of the events to be held during the Science and Technology Week, aiming to deepen people’s understanding of projects being promoted by JAMSTEC and to raise people’s awareness about Marine-Science Technology.
The open house will be held from 9:30 to 16:00 on May 10, 2008. For detail information, please refer to the Appendix. (Japanese)
Also, the Mutsu Institute for Oceanography (Mutsu City, Aomori Prefecture) and the Kochi Core Center (Nankoku City, Kochi Prefecture) will be open to the public. More information will follow. As for the Global Oceanographic Data Center (Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture), it is open throughout the year (closed on Mondays and national holidays).
