Earth Simulator Industrial Use Symposium 2009

The Japan Agency for Marine–Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC: Yasuhiro Kato, President) is promoting the use of the Earth Simulator, a high–end vector supercomputing system, for industrial research and development. Projects are carried out under the “Program for Strategic Industrial Use of Earth Simulator,” one of programs undertaken by the Japan´s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to promote sharing of advanced research facilities. Fee–based usage of the Earth Simulator, which does not require the disclosure of research results, is also offered to the industrial community,

To increase awareness of the industrial use of the Earth Simulator, JAMSTEC will be holding the “Earth Simulator Industrial Use Symposium 2009” as described below.
