Short CV

The ground material occupying area is thin and not so large compared to areas such as atmosphere, ocean, or crust. However, the ground is located in the boundary position among the large areas. So, various amounts of biological activities or special chemical and physical phenomena are observed in geophese. In research process, method for describing the dynamic mechanisms of the ground material from the experimental results or various conservation laws are developed. Additionally, I’d like to develop the soil solidification technology using the bio-chemical-thermal reactions and consider the process of forming the soft ground in the seabed.

Research Topics

Development of soil-solution-air-solute coupling model
Dynamics of ground state is variously changed by industrial activities or natural environment. To consider the ‘Stability of the ground’, ‘Infiltration properties of pore water/ air’, ‘Solute transportation characteristic’, which changed complexly and simultaneously, integrated model is developed using the mixture theory and continuous dynamics. In addition, to figure out the bio-chemical-thermal effect to the ground material, coupling model for these phenomena is also researched recently.

Image of some industrial and environmental effects to the ground
Development of ground environmental evaluation technique in deep seabed area
Deep seabed area is expected to figure out earth dynamics elucidation and develop for industrial use due to its specific environmental conditions (ex. pressure and temperature condition, organic-inorganic element content). Organizing the mechanical characteristic of deep sea from the developing observations, clarifying the chemical-physical phenomena occurring in ultra-extreme conditions of deep sea, I’d like to consider the way to connect sustainable industrial use.
