Lighting Award

We are honored by the Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan (IEIJ) to a specially designed lighting system, which prevents the supercomputer system from the heat, ultraviolet, and electromagnetic wave of light sources.

The light sources are installed at the both ends of each 44m length, transparent, surface emitting light tubes, being out of the shielded computer room. The illumination is provided by the scattering of the light tubes. (Light Guide Illumination)

And, because the light sources are out of the computer room, we can do any kind of maintenance work on the light source, without bothering the Earth Simulator system.
