This meeting provided leaders of all Indonesian agencies responsible for environmental issues an opportunity to get together and discuss how they would organize to host the major portion of the YMC field campaign. They met briefly before this meeting and will meet again after. At the meeting, the general science of the YMC and plans of international observation deployment were introduced. Indonesian agencies presented their observing facilities currently in place and to be deployed before the YMC field campaign, modeling activities, and environmental information systems. Issues related to the field campaign and to the YMC in general are discussed. BMKG will soon respond to some of the issues related to field observation deployment.
