The Program for Creating Innovation by Sharing Advanced Research Facilities: The Strategic Industrial Use "Program for Strategic Industrial Use of Earth Simulator"

The Program for Creating Innovation by Sharing Advanced Research Facilities is an MEXT-sponsored project that began in 2007. It promotes the wider use and versatility of state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment owned by various universities and independent administrative institutions in order to achieve innovative research outcomes.
The Program for the Strategic Industrial Use of the Earth Simulator, adopted as part of The Program for Creating Innovation by Sharing Advanced Research Facilities, has been in operation since 2007. This program seeks to promote the share use of the Earth Simulator (ES) supercomputer across various industries. The goal is to achieve innovative outcomes through the strategic deployment of ES-technical-guide-researchers and liaison staffs who actively call participation by new businesses, by promoting the share use of the facility by industries.
