On July 17, 2017, YMC in Indonesia Launch Meeting was held at the headquarters of the Agency for Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) in Jakarta (photos-1, 2).
    This meeting was arranged by BMKG to celebrate the start of the YMC field campaign period and to outreach YMC activity to the local community in Indonesia through the media (photo-3). Dr. Andi Eka Sakya, Chairman of the BMKG, made a key note speech stating the commencement of the campaign and its importance in Indonesia. Over 70 people from BMKG, BPPT (Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology), LAPAN (National Institute of Aeronautics and Space), LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences), RISTEKDIKTI (Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education), KKP (Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries), ESDM (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources), ITB (Institute of Technology, Bandung), IPB (Bogor Agricultural University), ITERA (Institut Teknologi Sumatera), and Tentara Nasional Indonesia attended. Two colleagues from JAMSTEC also joined.
    BMKG takes a role of local secretariat office, and they have opened YMC office in their HQ building, so that any YMC-related person can stop by and use freely (photo-4).
