Symposium to Report Impacts of 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake
- Results and Future Studies -

Following the great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, JAMSTEC has been involved in extensive emergency surveys around the earthquake rupture area, utilizing its fleet of research vessels, submersibles and leading expertise in marine sciences and technology.

To share the invaluable information obtained from these surveys, provide upgrades on studies based on it, and increase public awareness of how they can benefit society, JAMSTEC will hold a symposium as described below.
