Oct.30Rainy --> Cloudy --> Clear
R/V Mirai is cruising to the observation station. The 3-hourly radiosonde launch continues. Automatic instruments are also in operation continuously.
The widespread raining area goes away to our backside. Now we're under stars and the moon, with limited amount of radar echo in the observation range. The latest radiosonde sounding at 6S is capturing dry air aloft.
Tomorrow morning (00Z on Oct.31) we restart the three-hourly cycle consist of radiosonde launch, CTD / water sampling, micro-structure profiler, and atmospheric turbulent flux measurement.
