19 Nov. 2011: Mirai

Nov.19Cloudy

All of the instruments and observations are working well.

The widespread radar echo in the north of Mirai disspipated in the daytime, while some echo with band / streak form remains. No echo in the south stilll.

By looking at the longer time series at SE site, the relatively humid layer gradually develops from the latter half of October. The layer has been capped by the layer with westerly. This may reflect the development of large-scale updraft (with convection) layer, though we experienced MJO event in the middle of the period.

The oceanic surface isotherm layer become gradually thinner, as continously for previous several days. The thermocline could not detemined as clear as before Nov.10.
