- Is the residual circulation missing from the primitive transformed Eulerian mean (TEM) diagnostics? wres and vres have the same definition in both formulations thus they are archived only in the QG diagnostics (tem_qg).
- Have variable names changed? Eliassen-Palm flux variables archived in the predecessor of the RID were labeled “p” for pressure component and “phi” for latitude component. They are now labeled with “pre” and “lat” .
- Which wavenumbers are provided? Eliassen-Palm flux diagnostics are provided for the full field, wavenumber 1 and wavenumber2.
