In order to scientifically evaluate the potential impacts of ocean resources development on the marine environment, a practical method will be developed to estimate and observe marine ecosystems based on the indicators covering all living creatures, from large aquatic animals to microorganisms.

To allow private survey companies to utilize our technologies, JAMSTEC will introduce the technologies to international organizations while also disseminating and standardizing them. We will also strive to obtain certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for our technologies.
