We have just started 3-hourly radio sonde observation at the BMKG Bengkulu station located next to the airport. The photo shows quicklook of the data at 00 GMT (top-left: temperature and dew-point temperature, top-right: relative humidity, bottom-left: zonal wind, bottom-right: meridional wind) from the surface to 20-km height, above the tropopause (you can see the minimum temperature at about 18 km). Easterly zonal winds in the lower troposphere below 9 km indicate that summer monsoon is yet to start here, as usual.

We will continue the observation until 25 December, the Christmas day.
