A cooperation agreement with the Institute for Climate and Application Research of the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology

A cooperation agreement (CA) between the Institute for Climate and Application Research (ICAR) of the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) and the Application Laboratory of the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) was signed on June 17, 2024. This agreement builds upon the CA signed earlier on November 16, 2018. Despite the COVID-19 disaster after 2020, the two organizations made maximum use of online systems and limited travel plans to exchange researchers and jointly organized some international workshops to actively promote exchanges of scientific new knowledge and ideas. The results have been published in a number of co-authored papers by researchers from both organizations. The new CA is expected to facilitate further climate research in both organizations.
