The Indian Meteorological Society (IMS) has elected Toshio Yamagata, Project Principal Researcher, as an Honorary Fellow

Toshio Yamagata, Project Principal Researcher at the Application Laboratory, has been awarded the IMS Honorary Fellowship by the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS).

The IMS Honorary Fellow is a prestigious title awarded to researchers who have made outstanding contributions in meteorology and related scientific and technological fields.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place during the opening ceremony of the IMS International Symposium “INTROMET-2025,” held at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) in Pune, India, from November 18 to 20, 2025.
