Access to Previously Acquired Data Samples

Samples and data collected for scientific purposes during DV Chikyu’s JAMSTEC and IODP research cruises are to be opened for general research purposes after the end of their respective moratorium periods. The moratorium period is a priority use period for all cruise researchers, and is fixed for each cruise as they are completed. These data will be opened to the international science community and to the general public at the end of each respective moratorium period.

The treatment of samples and data obtained during research cruises are treated dependent on the cruise origin: JAMSTEC cruises follow JAMSTEC policy, while IODP cruises follow IODP policy.
