The documents required to board each research vessel are listed here.
Please use the Google Forms to fill out the required documents. Please download and submit the other required documents.
If you have any questions, please contact the MarE3 Fleet Operations Group (mare3-fleetops-kikanjamstec.go.jp).

*Since the Hakuho Maru research vessel is shared with the Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute (AORI) of the University of Tokyo, the application & required documents for boarding can be accessed from the AORI website (Japanese only).

Submission method: Official manager’s signature (or seal), Applicant’s signature, and mailed in a sealed envelope (JAMSTEC staff can submit by email attachment)

Submission method: Email attachment and postal mail of original forms. of the signed final version (JAMSTEC staff can submit all by email attachment)

If you plan to load equipment or tools regulated by the "Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Control Law", you will need to apply for permission yourself. In addition, please contact the MarE3 Operations Group Point of Contact.
