Recruitment & Selection for Research Vessels

The two previous JAMSTEC departments, CDEX and MARITEC have been be reorganized into one new department, the Institute of Marine-Earth Exploration and Engineering (MarE3). The separate open recruiting systems have been revised into a new open unified recruitment system.
Please take note of these changes if you have been considering applying for the open calls for participants in research cruises.

The "Research Vessel Use Public Offering (JAMSTEC)" and "Joint Use Public Offering (Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute, University of Tokyo: AORI/Atmosphere and Ocean Research Center: JURCAOS)", which were conducted up to 2019 (Heisei 29). The AORI secretariat is now soliciting research projects for all future joint research cruises. This allows for more efficient and central management of JAMSTEC vessels and scheduling than before. these will be developed in cooperation with AORI/JURCAOS and JAMSTEC.
