R/V MIRAI

"Tour"

Fine
Significant wave height is about 2.5m, and surface wind speed exceeds 10m/s.

Observations:

All continuous measurements work well.
Ship is cruising to 8S, 80E. During this period, sea surface temperature decreases from 28.5C to less than 28.0C.

Remarks:

Since most researchers are ready for intensive observations, today we had special tours inside of the ship two times. This tour was designed to introduce his/her own observation to other researchers.

After the tour, seminar on the cruise purpose (MISMO) was held by the chief scientist.
Tomorrow, we will arrive at 80E line.
