R/V MIRAI

"singular day of fine"

Fine

Observations:

Continuous observations were operated as usual.
Snow White sonde was released at 1100 LST.
SST still increased day by day. Middle to upper troposphere became dry and it results in the decrease of precipitable water vapor to less than 50 mm. However, cumulus and congestus clouds often developed (photo-1). Satellite-based cloud images tell us that cloud activity is active in the north-to-north-east of the MIRAI.

Remarks:

Today is a singular day of fine in Japan.
Over the MIRAI, we have clear day, too.
Photos 2-4 show the analyses of sampled water, that was taken at the CTD observation. Sampled water at CTD observation were analized for pH (photo-2), nutrients (Nitrate, Nitrite, Silicate, Phosphate, photo-3), and dissolved oxygen (photo-4).
